Day 7: Behind The Facade

Posted by germz at 9:24 AM 0 comments
My last post was about Unstoppable Shopping hence, this should be entitled The Should-Be Stoppable Window Shopping.

The latter should be stopped or else I'll be spending in one way or another if I still stayed for a few hours in the fitting room. But then I chose Behind The Facade because since it was a holy day, Sunday, I had to be in my most presentable self. But after the one hour Eucharistic Celebration, there I was showing what was behind.

I was actually wearing the UK Flag shorts inside because of course I was wearing a chiffon dress. At least, I can be prepared for a Madonna skirt flying in any circumstances because I was confident with my nice design shorts.

I was again in my itchy Photoshop skill, doing some effort with the pic above.

See the transformation? From Manang to Madam!haha I know! The yellow pancho cover or whatsoever was not a match. Well, the perfect cardigan for that was in the laundry so I had no choice but to settle with that. Mmmmh I could go without it but because it's sheer, I had to.

That should be censored.haha The top was way too much of a sheer.

At least the pic above was the only one that had emphasized the two tone color combination of the sheer top. It was orange and hot pink. It was still nice though. I remember one wedding event had this kind of motif. Cute!

Yeah right, I had been talking all about the top when in fact I did not even buy it. But why did not I even mention about the shorts?

Well, if you like it. I have available stocks in my online shop, Wholesale CDO Hope you'll find time to visit it.

That's it. Now I'm loving Sundays and looking forward to the next.

Posted by germz at 8:33 AM 0 comments
Out of stock or sold out is the word of the day. Bandage skirts are so endangered that in just a couple of days, I'll be posting it as the page's status. Poor little bandages. Below are the first collection of bandage skirts at Wholesale CDO.

This totally needs an immediate restock. So, a while ago I uploaded the second collection and in disbelief it is once again almost out of stock. Having one left is good as out of stock right?=) The one left is this:

germzofgenerality

I pity my favorite color green since it is the only one left behind. But if no one would mind buying it then, my closet would gladly embrace it as their newly found family member. Here are the 5pcs that have been reserved already.

There were some who reserved ahead though but don't worry, i'll restock immediately by Wednesday right after the reservations arre paid. I learned my lesson too, no to all plain colors. It doesn't catch so much attention so I stick with printed and plain designs.=)

Wrap your legs with these Bandage Skirts for sale!

Posted by germz at 9:58 AM 2 comments
Who says only the wounded ones are able to wrap themselves with bandage? You are thinking twice to wear it, but I know there is a tiny voice within you wanting to wear it too.

These bandage skirts are now back in town ready to victimize a lot of fashionistas. The good thing here is no matter how many victims there will be, I am pretty sure there are enough bandage skirts for everyone.

In case you are not aware but I live in the Philippines. The fashion stuff here is a bit a year or more behind from your country because just a while ago while I was surfing for photos of bandage skirts, I noticed that the photos or articles were are way back from year 2007. Then, what year is it now, 2011, so it means it's a total of 3 years behind.

It is named as a "bandage skirt" because it actually looks like one. It does look like a bandage when wrapped over your legs but just stitched together, obviously. In case you'll ask, it was the French King of Cling, Hervé Léger, who invented it in 1989 (particularly the bandage dress). I guess the bandage skirt was years later invented after bandage dress.

So, I figure out selling some pieces in my online store. And believe it or not, the stocks I have are almost out of stock. Plus, aside from retail, I also have wholesale orders. Right now from the 6 pieces stock I have, there are only 3 remaining left. Then, I have incoming 2pcs of wholesale orders. I am very thankful with such good vibes. Below is a picture of me trying to model my items so to see or picture it out when worn.

There are still other pics actually paired with the rest of my for sale tops too. However, I got lazy to edit the pics and change the background. As you can notice, the edges of me are not that fine. They are not carefully edited. Anyway, if I have my energy again, I will add the rest of the photos.

The price of each bandage skirt is 250php. Visit my online store by the way.

Hitting 2 birds with one stone!

Posted by germz at 4:10 AM 0 comments
"I off myself" (an expression meaning going off duty even if your not) for just one day but when I came back for duty already just a while ago, I was shocked by the sudden changes. First, the ER department was transferred to the bigger room. My co-volunteers jokingly asked if I knew about the transferring of stuffs since it was on the same day of my absence. It was as if I knew the agenda and might be the reason as to why I opted to go off duty to avoid the cleaning tasks. Anyway, at least the room now is bigger however, too spacious that we will be having a hard time checking all the patients every now and then especially in emergency cases.

Then, I knew about the selling of items outside the hospital building. I almost cried to tears (really? just overacting) for not informing me, it would be my moment and chance for my items to be displayed already. At least I have something to spend for this coming hospital anniversary as well as the city fiesta. Well, problem solved because I was given the permission to go home for a while and get my items (whew! big relief.) Then, the funny thing here is when the display has started already. Almost everyone went out to see and check the items. And when I was about to go home, there was an emergency case and I was asked to call the NODs. I really don't know why I was laughing that time while calling the NODs (I think it's because of the excitement.). I was as if the girl who cried wolf because I was laughing when I call them so they thought that I was joking.

So back to my "tindahan" or store, I was able to get back within 45min. Fortunately, I got a very good place with a table and even first among the display, quite an advantage.
Furthermore, there were sponsors giving free drinks and food (a very good timing because I was super thirsty and hungry). After arranging my items then, I went back to duty. My co-volunteer brought a camera with him so we really had the indulgence.

Other than that, there were games, videoke, free lunch. Only a few were there to join and witness the first day of the hospital celebration. But still everyone enjoyed especially the food. Happy 1st day anniversary ya'll.

Standing at a fork in the road

Posted by germz at 7:52 PM 0 comments
Right now, I am faced with so many works and tasks and still can't decide on what or where to start. So I figure out why not express myself through blog. Anyway, this is how my past time is all about.

For now, I still have my remaining 5 articles to make that is due yesterday and until now, I am still not starting. Then, new stocks for my online store just arrived which means I need to update my online store already. What's more is that "I off myself"-an expression my co-nurse volunteers and I use when deciding to be on off-duty even if not. But hey, I am a bit sick, got colds and a headache so I still have a good excuse.

But at least I can still manage to smile because along with my new stocks is my dress that I will be wearing on my birthday. In fact, I was so busy fitting it with all the matching accessories that I lost track of time again.

For the meantime, I include some of my happenings yesterday in case you'll ask. Honestly, I was broke after I returned home. I bought some materials for duty, for my nursing cap and other necessary stuffs. I also bought
a book that might help me in my article stuffs. I am desperate to learn more about writing because it's one my weaknesses.=) And I almost forgot, I bought curlers for my new hairstyle too. This assymetrica style is so hard to maintain especially when my hair is not rebonded or is wavy.

So I am gonna spill the beans here with my new arrival of stocks. I only have new 3 items. I am gonna start with the vintage madonna tie-up blue crop top.
This fits medium to large and to the small frames, you can just tie it up giving you a loose crop top look.

Next, is the cardigan-like crop top. I love the cloth, it kinda has a knitted texture and very cool to wear. It is best worn with a dress, I think. But not the formal dress of course. I mean the simple plain spaghetti dress for a sporty look.

The last one is a heart design crop top. It is dirty white and is stretchy thus, fits medium to large only. It has bigger size really.=)

Feel free to visit my online store and browse the available items...

Hanging out my shingle!

Posted by germz at 11:09 PM 0 comments
Now that I already acquired the "RN" title after my name, what steps will I take next. Others might say, "Hey, you're one of the 29K+ new registered nurses this year, then, you should be happy." Well, I am afraid that things are not exactly the way they are supposed to be especially that I am living in the Philippines. But of course, I should be happy. It's not easy to study a four-year-nursing-course plus a six-month-review for the board exam. And, "Hey, I took it in just one take." It's something I should be proud of. And I don't think I feel the same way being an RN here in my country. Most nurses who are ahead of us are still unemployed, others are stuck as volunteers while some are lost in the call centers and outside the medical field. Is there something I should look forward to?

Will I keep my hopes up in becoming an RN and start dreaming? Or is it just a wishful thinking?

I guess I'll just have to put my thinking cap on and see where this could take me and start hanging out my shingle.
