Black Peacock Feather Earrings

Posted by germz at 5:54 PM 1 comments

Feather Earrings are not anymore a stranger knocking on our eyes but has already been an acquaintance waiting to be greeted. Hope I am not that late for it is only now have I truly appreciated its beauty and the creativity still with the weirdness part. But I guess it is more of the feather accessories popularity since it does not only limit itself to earrings. It's fame stretches to a feather hair extension, feather necklace, feather headband and we can never tell what else might be available as long as it is feathery now you're in.

But you know what it is just perfect for my asymmetrical hair balancing it by wearing only one at the shorter side of hair.haha Because as I have seen from a couple of Hollywood or our very own stars, they mostly likely wear only one earring, the longer one. Or yet I am going to wear it at the longer side of my hair so to mimic its exposure with a camouflage effect of my hair.haha lols. Whatever. Soon, I'll just give you a shock because the next post may be probably a picture of me wearing this pair of feather earrings.

Real job in a real city

Posted by germz at 1:57 PM 0 comments
Real job in a real city. Going to an office, hospital, school and a particular working place is the real job in a real city and not staying at home the whole day waiting for the clock to strike at 9pm alarming the "cuckoo cuckoo it's time to work" but still sitting on that exact same chair in my room. That's my job, my online job as a tracking representative of Medex Supply located at Brooklyn, New York. If only it is easy as asking my employer for a working visa and fly online so I can work for them in person then, I would have included it in my resume with a note saying, "I am flexible and can work anywhere and with a visa I can contribute more working in person with you." "If only" but "only" up to google talk, conference chat and online communication is the most possible thing and not the "visa" stuff. *big sigh* Well, I guess that's what real life really is and "ambot sa" real jobs if ever those even exists.

No matter how life unfairly revealed her identity, I am still at one point selflessly trying to be a good friend that soon, she'll discover the purity in my heart and will slowly reveal her good side to me.

And I never expected that soon will be sooner as few minutes a while ago. I had seen another opportunity again, a part time job just perfect to pair up my online jobs and this could be the real job I am looking for. Still not in line with my course but at least within my city. I had some background and it would really be a great opportunity.

Honestly my one intention of this whole real job thing is to have the benefits I need - you know the insurance, health stuffs, the GSIS and SSS.

Hoping for the best. <3

The New Girl Pilot Episode

Posted by germz at 6:21 AM 1 comments
Okay! Here is one secret that had kept my mouth from saying blah blah blahs and telling you lah lah lah... whatsoever. It is something I go crazy all over that I could get myself hurt and jump in a couch just to have a one-on-one session with this secret of mine. Nah, honestly it's just something every girls love or do but different for me. Something is just a normal daily activity, the thing you do everyday but might happen to be against your will. Do these even ring a bell? So this secret goes like something to every other girls out there but everything to me. Now you get me?

It's actually my here-comes-a-new-tv-show-and-I-gotta-watch-this and then I start to be addicted something like addicted-in-the-first-few-episodes-and-just-fades then, I don't even know when, why or how. I guess my inconsistency in most stuffs have made me retained in such a way that I lose my desire immediately in a particular thing. Like how I got addicted to a Philippine TV series, My Binondo girl and how my highly addictive dose has totally worn off that I had not kept track of the latest episodes. And now I am looking forward to that coming or start to estimate the days, weeks or months if even possible of my TV series therapy--consists of 1 session with 18 episodes, the standard span of TV shows. Or should I consult a doctor and ask for a change of prescription of my therapy? What do you think so?

New Girl on Fox TV is the big secret revealed. I came across with it in twitter trends--New Girl. Speaks for myself huh. It somewhat describes my whole being because I am easily attracted to new stuffs. But this could be great because new can mean positivity in life living for a change so at least in my life I am actually looking for something. Now the question is when am I ever gonna find that something.

So, I googled this New Girl hoping to find a site which streams its episodes and luckily I have found it but only after numerous sites which made my life miserable for like 30 minutes. So what is this all about?

I'll start with the title, a new girl who intentionally arrived at a new place with of course new people after the "honey came in and she caught me red-handed" scene with his boyfriend. A bit of exaggerated. Just forget about the "caught me red-handed" part it was only a surprised bare-naked thing for his boyfriend with all the memorized song lines, staging and a little ribbon prop to cover her little flower then, came the girl his guy was hooking. How traumatic would it be. I mean the efforts were just thrown to trash and that includes his bf of being dumped. Sadly, I guess she herself is neither exempted nor deserved an immunity because she decided to transfer this new place. And the new people I was talking about are her roomates slash boys. Yes, I mean 1 girl and 3 boys in one apartment. How do you like that?

Now watch this. Click the image below and you'll be redirected to a site.

EPIC FAIL!

Posted by germz at 1:43 AM 0 comments

I blame it to the cold Sunday evening which left me nothing to do but thoughts of a-so-not-me-sort-of-things like reading books which I admit that I am a bit standoffish of such stuffs. It never came to a point in my life craving for such good reads not even in the middle of the night lighting that little lamp and paving my way down to the bookshelf and look for something to read. I more imagined myself heading to the fridge and finding that perfect midnight snack for my movie marathon moments. Or yet just wait for the time when books come into life and are shown in theaters.

And so I had these negative expectations the moment I downloaded the epub copy of the book. From the title itself, everything would surely be an epic fail. But as I turned the first page, one more page, then more pages until I came to realization that there's nothing left anymore. I succeeded! I had finished a book, to stress it more, one book in less a day. Would you believe it?

Epic Fail by Claire LaBeznik is something worth reading played by a typical teen-who-entered-a-strange-rich-world-far-different-from-hers named Elise Benton whose curiosity has been her main best friend as she struggled to adjust with the new school, new place, new weather, of the sons and daughters of celebrity parents and with Derek Eduards, an expected standoffish celebrity son. But things get more easier when her sister, Juliana Benton having Chase Baldwin his boyfriend and best friend with Derek who gave him a perfect grand entrance of "who's this new girl hanging out with the popular." Curiosity then seems to fade away because she did not only get close to such people but befriend them and even more than that. And of course a story like this would be incomplete without the unnecessary evil characters. First in the list is Chelsea Baldwin, a perfect-example-of-a-spoiled-brat who is obviously head over heels with Derek who later shows more of her being the evil sister of Juliana's Prince Chase. Then, the nerd sweet looking nice guy Webster Grant who in the end is nothing but a shallow-hearten guy who is only after the rich parents of whoever girl he come across in school. Thus, made Elise more curious after finding out which would excempt her from the fact that her parents are not rich nor celebrities but still fall trapped a victim.

I don't wanna look or sound a straight A grader summarizing stuffs like this. Well, it's better to read for yourself. Have fun reading because unexpectedly, I did have fun.

A Whole New Work to start . . .

germzofgenerality

For months of figuring out the ties and knots of online jobs and to mention its popularity and fame in the internet marketing, I have finally reached the end point. It's like walking a cave with no light and all I can hear are echos, bird chips and the whispers of my breath finding my way out to that fresh air, light and the sound of everything. At least now, I have not only witness the things that I have been looking for but experienced it myself. Indeed, I am officially hired.

germzofgenerality

From that day on, I am living the life of America staying up while the rest of the people in the Philippines are asleep. But at least this is different from the popular article writing job where in you do not only drain your energy writing but also your brain as you think through your ideas and coming up with that whole picture about the topic.

I'll be grabbing that sweet first paycheck in 2 weeks time while as of the moment I learn everything I need to learn first in my one week of training. One week is enough for the adjustments and everything from working during 9pm - 5am, learning the assigned tasks only through chat and down to passing my reports and tasks on time. This would have been great if I am in my own office, sitting on my own chair, working on my own table and a perfect excuse to wear high heels.

germzofgenerality

I now have my very own email exclusive for work with all the log ins and passwords for the different accounts handed to me. The little thing that I still do not have is my EON card, my paypal account where my salary will be sent. Well, I am giving myself a deadline for one week.

This totally needs an immediate restock. So, a while ago I uploaded the second collection and in disbelief it is once again almost out of stock. Having one left is good as out of stock right?=) The one left is this:

germzofgenerality

I pity my favorite color green since it is the only one left behind. But if no one would mind buying it then, my closet would gladly embrace it as their newly found family member. Here are the 5pcs that have been reserved already.

There were some who reserved ahead though but don't worry, i'll restock immediately by Wednesday right after the reservations arre paid. I learned my lesson too, no to all plain colors. It doesn't catch so much attention so I stick with printed and plain designs.=)

Minny's Chocolate Pie only for Hilly!

Posted by germz at 12:27 PM 0 comments
I have no regrets watching the Help. I was skeptical at first watching a documentary-or-history-type of film. But I finished it with a big smile (big laugh, I guess!) The movie was not really pure drama or slavery (at the first scenes though because it should be). It was for real a life about real people taking a stand for their lives and they did actually get what they want or should be of being not afraid to take a stand no matter what color they have.

The story revolved around the two characters of Aibileen and Skeeter. Yes, they are from different colors but this type of color seemed to be homogeneous since there's one thing which bothers them both--The help. Aibileen is a black maid taking care of a white child while Skeeter is a white who too grew up with a black maid, Constantine. They both dangerously put their lives at stake about the writing of stories from the black side since it is against the law. But in the end, they succeeded finishing the book with Skeeter's very own story with Constantine as the last part.

I do have my favorite scenes and characters as well as the hates. I'll start with my fave character Celia Foote. I thought she was like anybody else but she was the other white who is different. Though sadly, she was like a colored one since the white people does not like her that much (its because of the alleged stealing of Hilly's boyfriend before). I so like the way she treated Minny (exceptionally the opposite from Hilly's treatment). It was even funny that Minny was the one who was telling Celia about what is supposed to do.

On the other hand, Minny is very lovable. A good cook by the way and my favorite is her Chocolate Pie only for Hilly! Below is my favorite scene.
The help

And I came across with this recipe. Don't worry it's not the Pie only for hilly!=) Anyway, it's you who'll be making this one, for sure you'll not be adding any shit. Except with poor sanitation, you surely end up with diarrhea. But seriously, here it is.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 ounces Pet milk (evaporated)
2 eggs
1 pie crust, uncooked

Directions:
1
Preheat oven to 325°F.
2
Mix everything together in one big bowl.
3
You don’t have to bake the crust first, prick the bottom of it.
4
Pour filling into crust.
5
Bake for about 50 minutes. Let the pie set for a long while once it comes out of the oven. I think this definitely tastes better room temperature.
6
If you’d like, serve with a big scoop of ice-cream, some fruit, a little whipped cream, or straight out of the pie plate!

The (vintage) Help!

Posted by germz at 9:43 AM 0 comments
The Help photo
This movie was shown in theaters last August 10 somewhere not in the Philippines. (I think since I have not heard of this not even whispers.) Honestly speaking, I am just drawn by the vintage outfits the stars are all wearing and not the plot. But also because I have not seen this yet. I am still currently downloading a copy. Can't you see what I am seeing too?
The Help photo
Wearing that yellow corset-type jumpsuit would be oh so vintage. I would love trying to pose with an old telephone too. Plus that cat-eye sunglasses and perfected with blonde curls and white skin.
The Help photo
Then, who would ever forget the Easy A Star Emma Stone?(from the pic above.) For a change, she's now aiming for that real A, writing stories behind the African-american servants' stories.
The Help photo
Nah..., I just seem to like the dresses part here.
The Help photo
But this part here is different. Getting serious with writing, huh!
The Help photo
Now, I have no reason not to watch this. I started this so I definitely end this with a popcorn, soda and movie reviews afterwards besides the trailer is somehow catchy...

DIY: braided belt!

Posted by germz at 12:13 AM 0 comments
Vintage look and stuffs have been dominating in the fashion world nowadays. And for every piece you have, there will always be that signature braided belt right? Like these?

germzofgenerality
germzofgenerality

These could complete your high-waist bottoms, scallop shorts, vintage dress or that huge body tunic. But you don't wanna look like a second rate copy cat following the girls out there. So, I got something for you. To have that personal touch, let's have a DIY session. Aren't you excited?

Well, I actually come up with DIYs stuffs during "cant-afford-pieces" times which just only proves that you have no excuse of owning that "cant-afford-piece" when you can actually make one for your own. From a 150php belt it, make one for only 53php.

Now here's what you need"

1. A 6-inches long cord (preferably the thickest). It's similar with the ones used for kidada wraps but just thicker. The cord cost 8.75php (I think.) per meter so multiply it by 6.
2. A buckle costing for 2php only. (I used the one that has no closure. I am not actually familiar with the term.)
germzofgenerality
3. A pair of Scissors
germzofgenerality
4. A transpartent tape (I used plaster instead because I can't find one...tsk)

Now, let's start:

1. First, you need to equally divide your cord into 3. Cut it so to have 3 equal length cords.
germzofgenerality
2. Then, tie it into your buckle. (Just like how you tie your cord into your id.)
germzofgenerality
germzofgenerality
3. After the 3 cords tied up on the buckle, start braiding. (I bet you need no instructions in this part.)
germzofgenerality
4. Tape the ends, then with a transparent tape. (I apologize for the untidy looking plaster.)
germzofgenerality

germzofgenerality
Viola, you're all done. The result would be a high waist belt for the slims like me with the 6-inch-long cord used in this session. But if you prefer longer, you can go for 9-inch-long. Just remember the rule: the length should be divisible by three because you need to divide it equally by three.

I am shoe 70's!

Posted by germz at 9:51 PM 0 comments

germzofgenerality

Tricolor leather fashioned into an audacious asymmetrical sandal inspired by the ‘70s of its chubby swathed platform and heel. Oh look it’s a green multi JEFFREY CAMPBELL Joni Sandal costing you whooping 2, 610php. Don’t ya wanna come running in sandals? Or you’ll go running away because of the price?

But I take style with this new height in the ‘70s-inspired platform ala Jeffrey Campbell sandal instead. I am proud to introduce this funky blue colored open toe with crisscross suede at vamp with its exposed wooden platform embellished with buckles and studs.

germzofgenerality

I am super duper captivated of its heel attached with rubber grip bottom making it easy for me to dance all night.

germzofgenerality

Wait! Prolong your amazement as I reveal its mystery because I got it half price or just a quarter from a price of Jeffrey Campbell Joni. It’s for only 595php. Whew! Can you believe that?

germzofgenerality

It’s from a store here in Cagayan de Oro City at Ororama mall. The mall is not that big but surely you’ll be amazed of the skills and talent of the owner of choosing the stuffs for her mall. Amazing!
